Philomatheon Literary Society records
Scope and Content
The Philomatheon Literary Society (PLS) records span from the 1820s to 1923 and document the activities of this student organization at Ohio University. The records include bound volumes of the constitution and by-laws, meeting minutes, correspondence, the treasurer's account books, membership lists, the PLS's library records, Articles of Incorporation, diplomas given out by the PLS, notes on the Philomatheon National Committee, and printed programs for contests between the PLS and the Athenian Literary Society.
