Marilyn Branstetter collection
Scope and Content
The Marilyn Branstetter (MB) collection spans from 1947 to 1952 and contains ephemeral items collection by MB while she was a student at Ohio University. It is comprised of 28 dance cards from OU-sponsored and Greek club-sponsored dances, a 1952 football schedule, a commencement exercise announcement and MB's student athletic card. One of her dance cards from the Beta Theta Pi Annual Sweetheart Formal on January 13, 1950, carries the notation, "First formal after Herb and I were pinned, pinned Jan. 11, 1950."
The majority of the dance cards are in excellent condition, however, a few have frayed ribbons and one has a loose cover.

Biography of Branstetter, Marilyn
Marilyn Branstetter (MB) was an Athens native. At Ohio University (OU) she was a member of the Alpha Gamma Delta sorority and she served on the 1951 Homecoming Court. MB graduated from OU in 1952 with a Bachelors in Education. Her husband Herb Branstetter was a member of Beta Theta Pi fraternity in 1949.
