Cline's Pharmacy Records
Scope and Content
The collection contains one box of prescription records spanning from October 19, 1901 to February 27, 1909. All the prescriptions (500) are made on special blank with the stamp of Cline's Pharmacy. This collection also includes a folder with the information on John Halliday Cline and the Cline Pharmacy building.

History of Cline's Pharmacy
Cline's Pharmacy was established by John Halliday Cline (d. 1935), a native of Meigs County, Ohio. According to Mr. Cline's obituary on the front page of the Athens Messenger, July 4, 1935, Cline came to Athens in 1903 and purchased "the W.A. Hibbard drug store in the Perkins block, Court Street, where there has been a pharmacy for more than a century."
