Julia Luella Cable Papers
Scope and Content
The Julia Luella Cable Papers consists of a miscellaneous collection of correspondence, clippings, photographs and other memorabilia, writings, and other documents pertaining to the work and personal relationships of Julia L. Cable and Clement L. Martzolff. The bulk of the items were collected by Cable during and after the period, beginning in 1911, when she as employed as secretary to Martzolff in his role as Ohio University Alumni Secretary.

Biography of Julia Luella Cable
Julia L. Cable was born July 25, 1889 to Charles Ransom Cable and wife Mary Harris Cable, in Athens, Ohio. She died June 17, 1981. She received an A.B. from Ohio University in 1919, and an M.A. from Ohio State University in 1931. She was employed as a secretary to Clement L. Martzolff, beginning in 1911. She continued to work at Ohio University in various positions until her retirement in 1956.

Abstract
The Julia Luella Cable (JLC) Papers consists of a miscellaneous collection of correspondence, clippings, photographs and other memorabilia, writings and other documents pertaining to the work and personal relationships of JLC and Clement L. Martzolff (CLM).
Statement of Arrangement
The collection has been transferred from a 3-ring binder to an archival flat box, but remains in its original order.

Acquisition Information
The collection was presented to University Archivist, William Kimok, in April 2012. The materials were found in a small wooden box that had been part of the personal property of JLC.
