Huntington hotels registration books
Scope and Content
This collection consists of two registration books belonging to two different hotels: Merchants Hotel and Continental Hotel located in Huntington, West Virginia in the late 1800s.
The data recorded in the registration books includes the names, place of residence, check-in time and room number of hotel guests. The last page of this ledger includes the American Hotel Guide containing a list of members of the Hotel Register Publishers' Association. This includes information on day rates.
