Student Senate records
Scope and Content
The Student Senate records span from 1942 to 1989 and contain records of the administration of student government organizations at Ohio University. Student government has had many names and the collection is organized by each incarnation. The collection is organized into six series: 1. Student Council; 2. Student Congress; 3. Student Cabinet; 4. Student Government Association; 5. Student Governing Body; and 6. Student Senate.

History of Student Senate
The Student Senate has gone by many names throughout its history: Student Council, Student Congress, Student Cabinet, Student Government Association and Student Governing Body. The Student Senate came into existence following the conclusion of the Student Governing Body in 1975.
