The Ohio University Players (OUP) Monomoy Theatre (MT) records span from 1958-2003 and document the preformances of the OUP at MT. The collection is arranged into two series: 1. Programs and Printed Material; and 2. Videotapes for Summer 2003 performances.

The Monomoy Theatre first came to be associated with Ohio University when it was purchased by Elizabeth Baker in the spring of 1958. Elizabeth Baker was the wife of John Calhoun Baker, then president of Ohio University. She bought the property to provide a summer workshop for students in the Ohio University theatre program that was free from the heat of Appalachia. Christopher Lane served as the theatre's first director and was followed by Alan Rust. The Ohio University Players are made up of students in the theatre department who gain professional experience at the theatre in Chatham, Massachusetts on Cape Cod.
