History of The Ohio Valley Mental Retardation Evaluation Unit
The Ohio Valley Mental Retardation Evaluation Unit was initiated in 1968 to provide diagnostics, referrals and program planning for mentally handicapped children and adults in southeastern Ohio. It was based out of the Center for Human Development (CHD) at Ohio University. The CHD was folded into the College of Health and Human Services in 1979. It no longer exists.
