Biography of Peg Black
Peg Black (PB) was the director of news services at Ohio University (OU) from 1970 to 1992. She conducted research in the 1990s on Charles Ping, the 18th president of Ohio University, in order to write a book tentatively entitled Ohio University, 1975-1994: The Presidency of Charles Ping. This book was not published. PB's year-by-year narrative of OU from 1975 to 1994 was used by Florence Clark Riffe to write the 2004 book A Philosophy of Community -- Ohio University in the Ping Years 1975-1994.
