Scope and Content
The Department of Educational Studies records span from 1970 to 1981 and document the activities of this academic unit in the College of Education at Ohio University. The collection is comprised of the files of Donald Knox (DK), professor emeritus of education, from the Educational Administration program. The records include School of Behavioral Science meeting minutes, correspondence, memoranda, journal articles by DK, a handbook for education doctoral students, doctoral advisor assignments, and Ohio Board of Regents education master plans. There are also evaluations from a program for citizen to rank the educational goals for public schools in Ohio. Student files on DK's doctoral advisees have been removed.

History of The Department of Educational Studies
The Department of Educational Studies is composed of four distinct graduate programs with two of those programs also offering undergraduate service courses. Our department serves as a bridge between the other two The Gladys W. and David H. Patton College of Education and Human Services departments. The four programs are Cultural Studies in Education, Educational Administration, Educational Research and Evaluation, Instructional Technology.
