Biography of Brown family
The Brown family ran the Bank of Athens in Ohio. John Brown was president, and J. D. Brown was cashier. J. D. Brown may have been the father of Jennie Brown. The relationship, if any, between this family and the Brown family of the MSS18 collection is unknown.
