Shakespeare Jubilee ticket signed by George Garrick, circa 1700s
One ticket for Shakespears [sic] Jubilee at Stratford upon Avon on the 6th and 7th of September. Etching. The ticket admits one on the 6th to The Oratorio, The Dedication, The Ball, the Great Booth and the Fireworks. It cost one guinea. It is signed and sealed by Geo: Garrick, and includes an illustration of Shakespeare. The back of the ticket has the name I. or J. Ceyton or Geiyton.
