Holograph manuscript (bound) dated January 27, 1830 to May 11, 1833; includes a copy of a supplement to the Ceylon Gazette, dated October 2, 1830. Book of poems composed and/or transcribed by Cobb. The Ceylon Gazette contains letters from passengers, thanking Cobb for their safe journey from England to Ceylon.

It was written when Palmer was 73 years old (see page 161.) The notebook also contains an unlabeled photograph of three people and a 1906 postcard to Palmer's family.
