“Traditional Celebrations in Romania” led by Dr. Gabriela Popa. Come learn about “the old ways” and new traditions as celebrated in Dr. Popa’s home country. Sweets will be provided to sample.
Tuesday, November 14 |1 pm | Elson 186
“Understanding Costa Rica: A Social Work Perspective” led by Dr. Leah Vensil. Learn about Dr Vensil’s experience in Costa Rica and about the upcoming trip for students. Sample some sweet Pozuelo Chiky Cookies as well.
Tuesday, November 14 | 11:30 -1:30 | Elson Hall Atrium
“A FriendsGiving” - All are welcome to share friendship and fellowship of a traditional American meal hosted by the Rising Educators of OUZ. Food will be provided, but you are also welcome to bring a traditional dish to share.
Wednesday, November 15 |1:30-2:30 | Elson 186
“ A Celebration of Salads from Various Cultures”, Dr. Mohamed Tegany will lead the group in making some vegetarian salads to then enjoy eating!
Thursday, November 16 | 2:00-2:45 | Zanesville Campus Library
“A Danish Christmas” Dr. Korcaighe Hale will share her experiences of Christmas celebrations in Denmark, as well as displaying some traditional decorations. Attendees will also be treated to some special Danish cookies!
ALL WEEK in Elson Hall Atrium:
Stop by the atrium throughout the week for various craft activities Including Brazilian Adult coloring, Jungle Jute Wraps, Rainbow Peace bracelets and Ddakji tiles. We’ll also have some fun competitions in Thumb Wrestling and the game of Ddajki.
