We welcom e all alumni and friends who support the mission of EBN and Ohio University to attend a weekend national conference scheduled for Friday\, September 2 2 - Sunday\, September 24\, 2023\, in Akron\, Ohio. \n\nThe conference will promote alumni engagement\, celebrate EBN achievements and update attendee s on University initiatives\, including making plans for 2024 to celebrate the 200th anniversary of John Newton Templeton being the first Black studen t admitted to Ohio University.\n\nSchedule\nThe registration fee covers the following activities:\n \n\nFriday night: Happy hour and a tour of The LeB ron James Family Foundation House 330\, a multi-use facility that is built inside of what used to be the iconic Tangier restaurant and entertainment v enue Saturday morning: EBN Business Meeting with lunch Saturday evening: EB N Awards Banquet\, which will take place at the historic National Football League (NFL) Pro Football Hall of Fame. The evening will include a tour of the facility where we will be able to see up close memorabilia for all of o ur favorite NFL teams. This is an experience you do not want to miss! Sunda y morning: Alumni farewell and prayer at the Courtyard Marriott \nHotel Acc ommodations\nOur conference venue is the Courtyard by Marriott Akron Downto wn. A discounted room rate is offered for our members who will be staying o vernight while attending the conference.
