School of Theater presents: SUSPENDED CULTURE

Through the words of bell hooks, Suspended Culture considers love a revolutionary practice through which it can conjure anything required. This performance exists in an alternative reality rooted and embodied through Afro-surreal interpretations of Black futures, the absurd, and the body. We perform pleasure as a map and sink into the portal of "Yes, and..."

Suspended Culture is a performance collective of four, based in Chicago, IL. and all are current MFA students at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. Kezia Waters received their MFA in Performance from the Ohio University School of Theater.

Audience members must show photo identification and proof of vaccination or a negative test within 72 hours.
