We work to recuperate and reimagine memories\, drea ms and facades. \n\nIn an increasingly virtual world\, how do photographs a nd their ‘objectness’ suppose to memorialize that which is otherwise always in flux? What are we trying to hold onto\, if anything\, in our images?\n\ nAlternatives seeks submissions of unique works that explore the artist’s i nterpretation of ‘image as object’\, the physical manifestation of that whi ch can’t otherwise be pinned down — the tangible in the intangible. Artists working broadly within the spectrum of image-based practices\, including m oving images and installations\, are also welcome.
