Title :  Supporting Mathematics Graduate Teaching Assistants' Implementation of Evidence-Based Teaching Strategies

Abstract:

Research in undergraduate mathematics education is growing, but making changes to our teaching practices can be daunting. In this talk, I’ll share some of the recent recommendations for best practices in undergraduate mathematics and how we can use these recommendations to support undergraduate instruction. Then I’ll share how this relates to my current research with our first-year GTAs in the department.
