Join Dr. Maria M. Carreira , Emerita Professor of Spanish of California State University Long Beach and former Co-Director, the National Heritage Language Resource Center (NHLRC) for a Workshop during International Education Week.
Drawing on the principles of anti-racist and pro-diversity practices in the language classroom and project-based learning (PBLL), this workshop aims to help participants be prepared and informed of the procedural knowledge and topics that can be incorporated into their curriculum and tap into the linguistic and cultural resources that students bring to the classroom and create an inclusive and enriching learning experience for all.
World Language Instructor-geared pedagogy workshop which will draw on the principles of anti-racist practices in the language classroom and the project-based language learning to inform procedural knowledge that can be incorporated into curriculum.
Light refreshments will be provided. Co-sponsored by the Center for International Studies, World Languages, and the Office of Global Affairs.
