If you know what the Passion Flower – the official flower of Athens, Ohio – is, you know the magic of Passion Works Studio. Founded by two-time College of Fine Arts graduate Patty Mitchell, BFA ’87, MA ’91, Passion Works is a collaborative community arts studio that’s home to a core group of artists with development differences. Patty has blazed a trail by creating a model for how to shift sheltered workshops and day programs into collaborative making spaces where entire communities can engage and experience the joy of creating and connecting.
