"Behind the White Coat" is an annual student storytelling event held at Ohio University's Heritage College of Osteopathic Medicine, that is inspired by "The Moth" Radio Podcast. Founded by two medical students, Sami Nandyal and Aiesha Polakampalli in 2019, strived to create a space where medical students can take a step back from the rigor of their work load to have a humbling reminder of who they are, and why they chose to commit themselves to a lifetime of service.

Over a casual couple of hours, storytellers from the HCOM community will tell prepared stories to their friends and colleagues. The event is free to attend and we will have live music and refreshments.
