Research topics include species forma tion and delimitation\, biogeography\, adaptation\, natural selection\, and the evolutionary ecology of polymorphism. Our approach is grounded in orga nismal biology and natural history\, with a focus on amphibians (especially salamanders) and reptiles\, while our methods of inquiry include\, and typ ically integrate\, phylogeography with phylogenetics\, coloration studies\, morphometrics\, behavior\, and field ecology.
