The Hindi language and Asian studies program present Bollywood night with Bollywood Night with Varalinka Srivastava, from Thumak Dance Company.  Come and learn about the Indian culture and have fun with us while we teach you to dance to the tune of "Kala Chashma."

Varalinka Srivastava

Founder and Bollywood instructor

Born and raised in India, Varalika is a trained Bharatnatyam dancer and has been dancing since the age of 10. She is also training in Kathak. Over the years, she has taken various dance workshops to dip her feet in other dance forms like jazz, hip-hop and belly dance.

Dancing is her way of self-expression. She loves to perform, but what makes her the happiest is teaching and seeing her students perform on stage. Apart from dancing, she loves to travel and has a special love for cafés, bakeries, and bookstores. She can also spend hours watching movies with her husband and dog.
