Dr. Genna is a Professor in the Department of C hemical & Biological Sciences at Youngstown State University.\n\n \n\nAs me tal-organic frameworks (MOFs) continue to gain prominence in diverse applic ations such as catalysis\, drug delivery\, and molecular separations\, the mechanistic details behind the formation of these materials remain largely unknown. In this talk we will explore the development of a toolbox that uti lizes synthesis\, computation\, and in situ Raman spectroscopy to study the solution-phase mechanism of formation of MOFs. Case studies involving grou p 13 derived MOFs containing In\, Ga\, and Al building units will be presen ted.
