Classics & Cocktails is moving up!  The Athena Cinema team is thrilled to announce that its summer series is moving to the rooftop of the Athens City Parking Garage.

Note:  All previously scheduled dates will remain the same; however, the show times will be later. Athena will begin seating at 8 p.m., and each movie will start at approximately 9 p.m. following sunset.

Athena Cinema will be using DORA to continue to offer themed cocktails! You can pick up your DORA cup and cocktail curbside at the Athena on the way to the parking garage. They will also have runners so you can order drinks and concessions that will be delivered to you on the rooftop!

Please consider purchasing tickets to these events. It is a great way to show your support for the Athena during our temporary closure. It helps us keep the Athena Cinema staff employed and able to bring movies to Athens.

Additional details and movie dates/times are available online:  http://athenacinema.com/classics-cocktails/

Duuuunnnn duun…duuunnnnnnn dun dun dun dun dun dun dun dun dun dun dunnnnnnnnn dunnn! We are still on the hunt for some iconic Narragansset beer cans for our screenings of JAWS but in the meantime, we will be featuring a delicious Sharkbite Cocktail! More details coming soon.

Classics & Cocktails  is back for a summer series! Join us on Friday, June 2nd at 7pm for the 1975 thriller, JAWS.  Admission is $8. Drink prices vary.

When a young woman is killed by a shark while skinny-dipping near the New England tourist town of Amity Island, police chief Martin Brody (Roy Scheider) wants to close the beaches, but mayor Larry Vaughn (Murray Hamilton) overrules him, fearing that the loss of tourist revenue will cripple the town. Ichthyologist Matt Hooper (Richard Dreyfuss) and grizzled ship captain Quint (Robert Shaw) offer to help Brody capture the killer beast, and the trio engage in an epic battle of man vs. nature.

Along with the specialty cocktail, we will have a full menu of wine, local beer and local ciders.
