In support of Domestic Violence Awareness Month, the Clothesline Project will once again be displayed at the Ohio University Southern campus, in the Shafer Courtyard. Beginning in Cape Cod in 1990, the Clothesline Project was started to address the issue of violence against women; it is a vehicle for women affected by violence to share their experiences by decorating a t-shirt. Decorated t-shirts are hung on a clothesline to be viewed by others as a witness to the problem of violence against women. Over the years, the project has spread worldwide. Please join us throughout the week as we honor those who have overcome violence and abuse and remember those who have lost their lives to it. If you would like to decorate a shirt, please visit the Ohio University Southern Library.
