the Presenter: \n\nJennifer L. Middleton\, MD\, MPH\, FAAFP (she/her/hers)
is currently the co-Program Director for Faculty Development at OhioHealth
and an Associate Program Director with the OhioHealth Riverside Family Medi
cine Residency Program. She completed her residency training at UPMC St. Ma
rgaret Family Medicine Residency Program in Pittsburgh\, PA\, followed by t
he University of Pittsburgh’s 2-year\, full time Faculty Development Fellow
ship along with a Master’s Degree in Public Health. \n\nAs OhioHealth’s sol
e Director of Faculty Development from 2019 through July 2024\, and now as
co-Program Director\, Dr. Middleton provides ongoing support and facilitate
s programming for the teachers of OhioHealth’s residency and fellowship pro
grams. Working with experts in CME\, learning\, audio-visual support across
OhioHealth\, she developed the “MedTeach” monthly webinars and resources\,
including a Graduate Medicine Education reference library\, curricular mat
erials\, and one-pager “QuickSheets” on high-yield faculty development topi
cs. Within the Riverside Family Medicine Residency Program\, she cares for
her own panel of patients\, supervises residents in multiple care settings\
, and assists with the longitudinal Scholarly Activity and Population Healt
h curriculum. She has published original research and essays in multiple pe
er-reviewed journals and has presented nationally on a wide variety of facu
lty development topics. From 2013-2024\, she was an editor at American Fami
ly Physician\, and she continues to peer review for journals.\n\nAs of Augu
st 2024\, Dr. Middleton has also begun working toward a Master of Divinity
degree at Trinity Lutheran Seminary in Bexley\, Ohio. After graduation\, sh
e hopes to integrate her medical and theological skills into teaching and s
ervice.
