This presentation examines the rise of Anti-Asian violence and h ate globally—How has the coronavirus pandemic exacerbated Anti-Asian violen ce? We explore why educators should engage in conversation about Anti-Asian hate in our schools and university classrooms. We will also examine the hi storical context and connections between the Asian and Black communities in the United States—What are some lessons we can learn in our common quest t o be anti-racist? What is anti-racism and what can we\, in higher education \, do to promote a more healthy anti-racist society?
