How do organized groups of migrants and their descendants - also known as diasporas - impact foreign policy decision-making in the states they live in? Focusing on the cases of Lebanese and Iranian groups in the United States, this talk examines the role of diaspora organizations in foreign policy promotion and informal public diplomacy and discusses implications for the role of diasporas in global affairs.
