ral students in the ILDT program will respectively discuss preliminary rese
arch findings from three studies: (1) Pre-service teachers' STEM instructio
nal preparedness and leveraging AI in lesson planning\; (2) Research catego
rizing (text to image\, text to audio\, text to website\, etc.)\, rating\,
and evaluating pros and cons of over 200 of the best AI tools currently ava
ilable on the market\; and (3) A systematic review identifying effective pr
ofessional development strategies for developing AI literacy framework in K
-12 teacher preparation. \n\n \n\nTeacher Agency and A.I. –Reconsidering th
e 80/20 Split \n\nKevin Cordi\, PhD\, Matt Henry\, Luke Kennedy\, Cheyanne
Kifer\, and Hannah Henthorn \n\n3:05PM-4:00PM\n\n \n\nSession Description –
Join Dr. Cordi and his students for an engaging presentation on how they h
arnessed AI to spark reactions and responses from a selected book. They wil
l showcase their creative process\, demonstrating how they used AI tools wh
ile maintaining their own agency in the project. Dr. Cordi will also discus
s the crucial role educators play in shifting mindsets from consumers to cr
