About: This course covers three specific topics that provide instructors with an excellent understanding of direct and indirect characterization in developing character sketches, making stories powerful and intriguing to capture student interest through the proper utilization of ethos, logos and pathos and understanding how to process multiple themes in the novels’ genre. In addition, instructional personnel will also discuss effective strategies designed to engage students in understanding and writing poetry as well as the proper utilization of literary terms designed to enhance their writing skills. Ideas will include discussions on rhythm, style, meter, verse, themes and music.
