About the Founders Day Virtual 5K Challenge
The Ohio University Alumni Association is challenging Bobcats near and far to take part in the Founders Day Virtual 5K Challenge! Celebrate OHIO's 220 years by helping us reach our goal of the total mileage from the Bunch of Grapes Tavern in Boston where Ohio University was chartered to Cutler Hall in Athens, equating 730 miles! Your individual 5K submission will be counted toward the combined mileage goal.

How It Works

• Register:  Sign up for the Founders Day Virtual 5K Challenge and have your choice of the following registration options:
  
  The Cutler Package  ($20/Participant) - Receive an official Founders Day Virtual 5K Challenge Swag Box shipped to your home containing a custom medal, participant race bib and official water bottle!*
  *The Cutler Package will only be available while supplies last; once we run out, this option will be unavailable.
  
  The Putnam Package  ($0/Participant) - Want to get involved without the swag? Register for  free  to participate in the Founders Day 5K Challenge!
  

• Run/Walk:  Any time from February 1 to February 18, lace up your sneakers and complete your 5K (3.1 miles) at your own pace and location of choice. You can run at home on the treadmill, walk on your local bike path, or jog in a meet up with fellow Bobcats and friends in your area — the choice is yours. Rather than being a competitive race, this is a team-based experience where Bobcats can come together from wherever they are to achieve an incredible feat!
  
• Share Your Experience:  Capture your journey and share your photos, videos, and achievements on social media — be sure to tag @OHIOAlumni on Instagram and Facebook. Include a photo in your race submission to be posted on our Ohio University Alumni Association social media channels!
  
• Log Your Submission:  Log your 5K entry to be counted toward the mileage goal through the submission link provided to you via email when the challenge begins on February 1.
