Cruz is an assistant professor of education at Charleston Southern Univers
ity. She earned her PhD in Higher Education from Old Dominion University\,
where her dissertation used time series regression to conduct a longitudina
l policy analysis of academic and economic factors that influenced internat
ional student enrollment in the U.S. from 2004 to 2019. She previously held
positions in various types of higher education institutions worldwide\, in
cluding work as a faculty advisor at Zayed University in the United Arab Em
irates\, the Director of International Student Life at Emory University\, a
nd the Assistant Principal of Capstone Scholars at the University of South
Carolina. Natalie earned an M.S.Ed in Higher Education and Student Affairs
from the University of South Carolina and a BA in Psychology from Clemson U
niversity.
