This speaker series will feature Dr. Purba Das. Dr. Das was born and grew up in India. She came to America to study in 2000.

After getting her M.Sc. from Purdue University, she worked in California for a year. She obtained her Ph.D. from Washington State University in 2008; she began teaching at Ohio University Southern.

She will share her stories about the cultural differences, difficulties, similarities during her 13 years living in the Appalachian region.
