\nThe 2023 Kennedy Lecture Series features investigative journalist Bob Woo
dward on Wednesday\, March 1\, at 7:30 p.m. in the Bake Center Ballroom. Do
ors open at 6:30 p.m.\, and this event is first-come\, first-served.\n\n \n
\nThis event is free and open to all students\, faculty\, staff and area re
sidents. In addition\, there will be a livestream available and the link ca
n be found at this webpage on the day of the event.\n\n \n\nWoodward will s
peak on his career and the work that led him to author and co-author 21 boo
ks. Woodward’s experiences range from covering Watergate\, the CIA\, the la
st 10 presidents of the United States\, and Hollywood. His talk will be hel
d in the Baker Center Ballroom as part of the Kennedy Lecture Series.\n\n \
n\nWoodward gained international attention when he and Carl Bernstein uncov
ered the Watergate scandal in 1973. Since that time\, his reporting has ser
ved to provide information on the inner workings of government activities.
Currently the associate editor of The Washington Post\, where he has worked
since 1971\, Woodward has won nearly every journalism award in the United
States and has shared two Pulitzer Prizes. \n\n \n\nIn his speeches and pre
sentations\, Woodward’s factual and non-partisan remarks give audiences an
inside view of Washington\, D.C. His talk will be moderated by Assistant P
rofessor Mark Turner.\n\n \n\n“Bob Woodward offers a wonderful opportunity
for the Ohio University and Athens Community to hear from a nationally reco
gnized journalist and author who brings a wealth of experiences to us\,” sa
id Kennedy Lecture Series Chair Judith Rhue.\n\n \n\nLittle Professor Books
tore will be selling a limited number of pre-signed books by Woodward at th
e Baker Center Ballroom before and after the event. Cash\, check and credit
card will be accepted. Please note\, there will not be a public book signi
ng at this event.\n\n \n\nOhio University’s Kennedy Lecture Series was esta
blished in 1962 by a gift from OHIO alumni and stalwart supporters Edwin L.
and Ruth Kennedy. The Kennedy Lecture Series aims to bring speakers who ap
peal to a broad cross-section of the OHIO community to the Athens Campus to
discuss significant issues in American life.\n\n \n\nFor more information
