Abstract : In this presentation, a review is provided of how listeners from diverse backgrounds perform lexical decision tasks, sometimes in the presence of speaker voice change. Some of the data presented will be based on the on-going projects involving normal listeners from native speakers of English and Mandarin as well as clinical populations such as listeners with sensorineural hearing loss and individuals with dyslexia history.
