AAPISU will be working with the Athena to educate its attendees and will hold a post-movie discussion to further discussions regarding AAPI issues and discuss the lessons from  Minari . AAPISU will be hosting a showing of the Oscar-Nominated Film  Minari  to discuss these topics.  Minari  is a fitting film for the AAPI Week theme because it is about a Korean-American family that moves from California to Arkansas to grow the vegetable minari.  One of the main characters Jacob wants to grow food for other Korean-Americans that want a taste of home. Minari is a Korean staple that is known for being a vegetable that can be grown in harsh environments due to its resilience and adaptability.
