DESCRIPTION:IEEE-HKN\, Delta Epsilon Chapter\n\nThe Institute of Electrical
and Electronics Engineers\n\nNavigation on the Moon\n\nNASA x IEEE\n\nARC
106 on 11/22 at 7PM\n\nThe Moon is again a top space exploration priority.\
n\nNavigation needs are no less demanding than in the Apollo era\, but most
missions will not be able to rely on human piloting or extensive ground-ba
sed tracking. Global Navigation Satellite Systems (GNSS) like GPS could pro
vide a source of real-time position\, navigation\, and timing. Ben Ashman w
ill describe the upcoming Lunar GNSS Receiver Experiment (LuGRE)\, expected
to be the first use of GNSS at the Moon. Dr. Ashman is a navigation engine
er at NASA Goddard Space Flight Center. He received his B.S. in Electrical
Engineering from Ohio University and his Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering fr
om Purdue University.\n\nGuest Speaker – Dr. Benjamin Ashman\n\nAerospace E
