This is a separate event from the formal Commencement Ceremonies held on the Athens campus on Saturday\, December 11\, 2021.\n\n \n\nDate: Thursday\, December 9\, 2021\n\nCheck-In Arrival: 6:30 p.m.\n\nCeremony Begins: 7:00 p.m.\n\nLo cation: Shannon Hall Theater\n\n \n\nWatch the Graduation Recognition Cerem ony live on YouTube.\n\n \n\nIn-Person Expectations\n\nGraduates and guests attending this event are required to wear face masks and must follow all O hio University Policies\, including health and safety policies and posted i nstructions while on Ohio University grounds. An inherent risk of exposure to COVID-19 exists in any public place where people are present.\n\n \n\nRe servations Required\n\nAll graduates will have the opportunity to have six (6) guests attend this ceremony. Reservations are REQUIRED for seating acc ommodations. Students will be required to complete the registration form.\n \n \n\nShould you need special accessibility accommodations\, please indica te these on the registration form.\n\nMake your Reservation\n\n \n\nCAP & G OWN PACKAGES\n\nRegalia is required for the in-person ceremony. You may not participate in person without Ohio University issued regalia. No regalia s ales will occur at the ceremony venue.\n\nAny graduating student may purcha se regalia\, regardless of their ceremony participation. Academic honor cor ds for cum laude\, magna cum laude\, and summa cum laude will be provided b y the University based on academic information from the Registrar's Office. \n\n \n\nPLACE YOUR ORDER\n\nOrder Deadline: November 20\, 2021\n\nNote: Be sure to purchase your regalia before the order deadline to ensure on-time delivery. Shipping delays have been experienced and are common because of COVID-19. Gowns feature distinct styles for Associate/Bachelor\, Master and Doctoral degrees. A Bachelor gown may not be worn at the graduate/masters ceremony.\n\n \n\nPhotography: Guest may take photos during the ceremony\, but we ask that they remain seated during the ceremony so not to disturb o ther guest who are trying to see their graduate.\n\nA selfie station will a lso be available to get a special shot with honored graduates.\n\nMany oppo rtunities will be available to capture a popular family photo or selfie aro und the Ohio University Eastern campus. Be sure to hashtag #OHIOgrad2021 to share your memories!\n\nSafety\n\nPersonal Health Screening: All guests en tering the Graduation Recognition Ceremony area are advised to conduct a pe rsonal health screening before arriving to campus. Those who feel ill\, hav e symptoms consistent with COVID-19\, have been exposed to someone with sym ptoms of COVID-19\, have been exposed to someone who has tested positive fo r COVID-19\, or who have tested positive themselves\, must stay home.\n\nCl ick here to learn more about the CDC’s health guidelines.\n\n \n\nMask Requ irements: Masks will be required for all students and guests in attendance. \n\n \n\nSanitization: Hand sanitizers will be present at every entrance. Additionally\, grounds staff will disinfect all seating prior to the ceremo ny.\n\n \n\nThis ceremony will follow all guidelines outlined by the State of Ohio\, Governor Mike DeWine and Ohio University COVID protocols.
