The Bachelor of Science Nursing (BSN) class of 2023 will participate in Ohio University Eastern's first inaugural white coat ceremony on August 31, 2021. This ceremony is a rite of passage that serves to welcome the nursing students to healthcare practice. Students will receive a symbolic white coat to designate their passage into the next phase of their nursing education.  An oath will be taken to acknowledge their central obligation to provide compassionate patient care.
