The OHIO POPcats Popular Culture Speaker Series features Paul Shovlin discussing “'Ohio, So Many Cryptids to Discover!’: The Gulf between Science and the Unknown” on Monday, Oct. 31, at 4 p.m. in Ellis 114.

Shovlin is Assistant Professor of Instruction in English at Ohio University.

The OHIO POPcats Popular Culture Speaker Series is co-sponsored by the E.W. Scripps School of Journalism, the Honors Tutorial College, the Ohio Honors Program, the Cutler Scholars Program, the 1804 Scholars Program, the College of Arts and Sciences, the Scripps College of Communication, the Center for Law, Justice, and Culture, and the College of Fine Arts.  Additional sponsors include the English HTC program, Department of English, the English First Year Writing program, the Department of Sociology and Anthropology, the Department of Political Science, and the Department of Philosophy at Ohio University.
