OHIO@home shares what our faculty, students, and colleges are doing to stay current in their field, follow their interests through studies, and share accessible research. This month the OHIO@home series debuts with guest, Paul Benedict, Director, Center for Entrepreneurship at Ohio University.

We have all read about entrepreneurs who start companies like Apple, Ring, and Jazzercise...how did they start? What does a young entrepreneur ‘to be’ look like? At Ohio University students from all areas of study can cross paths at the Center for Entrepreneurship. They study music, retail merchandising, and global health; they have nothing in common and everything in common because there are core competencies prevalent in entrepreneurs.

Paul Benedict will join us on April 8 from 12-1 p.m. to talk about the qualities he sees every day in successful students.

After you register check out this survey that Benedict uses to help students assess their own experience, perspective, and interests. You might be surprised at how the survey helps to seek out and identify possible competencies.

If you want to kickstart the conversation take some time to listen to this interview with Guy Raz and Lewis Howes as they discuss The #1 Skill Every Successful Entrepreneur Must Have!

You will receive a confirmation email upon registration that will include details on how to join this virtual event.

If you have any questions, please email Barb Fiocchi at fiocchib@ohio.edu .
