The exhibit titled\, “Moments From My Archive\,” can be viewed at the School of Visual Communication Gallery (140 Schoonover Center) weekdays fr om 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. starting September 11\, 2023\n\n \n\nSouza’s work as an author\, academic\, and accomplished practitioner of documentary photojour nalism has been acclaimed globally. His significance owes to his ethical\, professional\, artistic\, and truthful documenting for posterity the legaci es of President Ronald Reagan\, President Barack Obama\, their families\, a nd other prominent leaders. Souza chose his first public speaking appearanc e since leaving the Obama White House (Jan. 20\, 2009 to Jan. 20\, 2017) to be here at Ohio University in 2017. \n\n \n\nSouza served as a tenure-trac k assistant professor of photojournalism at Ohio University before being hi red by President Barack Obama to be Chief White House photographer. He serv ed the Obama White House with distinction while serving as a member and rep resentative of our OHIO academic community.
