On the observational side of this new era\, the Super-Kamiokande with Gadol inium\, Jiangmen Underground Neutrino Observatory\, XENON\, and future liqu id scintillator neutrino experiments usher in a new generation of multi-pur pose neutrino detectors designed to open new avenues for potentially observ ing currently undetected neutrinos. This ongoing explosion of activity in neutrino astronomy powers theoretical and computational developments on neu trino production in stars. In this talk we'll explore recent results on ste llar neutrinos that provide new targets for neutrino detectors\, new estima tes of the stellar neutrino background signal\, and new opportunities for n uclear physics.\n\n \n\nColloquia are Fridays at 4:10 p.m. DTEND:20210910T210000Z DTSTAMP:20240921T084536Z DTSTART:20210910T201000Z LOCATION: SEQUENCE:0 SUMMARY:Physics Colloquium | Nuclear Astrophysics\, Sept. 10 UID:tag:localist.com\,2008:EventInstance_37439560095768 URL:https://calendar.ohio.edu/event/physics_colloquium_nuclear_astrophysics _sept_10 END:VEVENT END:VCALENDAR
