\n\nAbout the students: \n\nMelissa Damico is one of the Founders of the G
rey Green Alliance\, an applied research collaboration between Ohio Univers
ity’s Voinovich School of Leadership and Public Service and the Ohio State
University’s College of Social Work dedicated to increasing the resilience
of older adults to the impacts of climate change. She is an Honors Tutorial
College student studying Environmental Studies and is continuing her resea
rch related to increasing the resilience of older adults as a Voinovich Und
ergraduate Research Scholar. Her research on climate change and aging start
ed in Columbus\, Ohio\, expanded to Athens and she is now looking at intern
ational Age-Friendly Communities that are also considering sustainability i
n a future impacted by climate change. \n\n \n\nLaura Davis is a Master of
Public Administration candidate with research interests in community buildi
ng\, food insecurity and economic development. She completed her undergradu
ate degree at The Ohio State University in 2018 and served in Nepal through
the Peace Corps. Laura currently works as a graduate assistant for the Cen
ter of Economic Development and Community Resilience. As an Appalachian nat
ive\, she loves having the opportunity to serve those with similar values a
nd upbringings. \n\n \n\nDomoina Rakotoson is a Master of Science in Envir
onmental Studies candidate whose current graduate work explores the human e
lement as a determinant of the effectiveness of management of protected are
as. She has 10 years of professional experience in capacity development and
protected areas management in her home country\, Madagascar\, and in Afric
