Telescope nights are free and open to the public.\n\n \n\nVisitors may see lunar craters\, Saturn’s r ings\, Jupiter\, Mars\, star clusters\, or distant galaxies\, depending on the time of year and sky conditions.\n\n \n\nPublic Telescope Nights are he ld at the Ohio University Observatory\, located at The Ridges on the Athens campus.\n\n\n\nParking is available in university lots 202\, 200\, and 201 \, which are open to visitors after 5 p.m. on weekdays and on weekends. The se lots are located near The Ridges Auditorium.\n\n \n\nParking is availabl e in university lots 202\, 200\, and 201\, which are open to visitors after 5 p.m. on weekdays and on weekends. A permit is required 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.\ , Monday through Friday. The lots are open to public all other times\, unle ss reserved for a special event. These lots are located near The Ridges Aud itorium.
