The shadow puppet theater is a common and unique art form of storytelling throughout Southeast Asia. This year, a folktale from the Indo-Malay world, entitled the Crocodile King, and the Warrior of Simalungun will become alive on the screen. He was known for his supernatural ability to communicate and control crocodiles. Watch as he confronts Kraithong, the Thai cocodile hunter, in an epic battle. Join us to discover what unfolds next. During intermission, share your own Southeast Asian stories or folk tales. Audience members participating in storytelling will receive gifts.

Refreshments provided.
