After a 90-year hiatus in which the metho dology was rarely used and when used was not recognized as that of Dr. Stil l\, it was rediscovered and redeveloped by Richard Van Buskirk\, DO and oth ers in the late 20th Century. \n\nThis course is focused on teaching this methodology to physicians and students of osteopathic medicine who are inte rested in learning and using a manipulative method that is relatively rapid \, generally painless and quite effective. It requires a good working knowl edge of functional musculoskeletal anatomy\, which is also taught in the co urse. For those who already have a reasonable working knowledge of the meth odology it should add to their technique base. After taking this course all should be able to use at least some of the techniques in their daily pract ice and will have developed a base on which they can grow their proficiency .\n\nCourse Objectives \n\nParticipants will understand the principles and history of Still Technique.Diagnosis and Still Technique treatment of the axial spine will be performed by the attendees.Participants will diagnose a nd treat rib dysfunctions\, and the upper and lower extremities with Still Technique. Diagnosis and treatment of the pelvis\, hips and associated mus culature with Still Technique will be completed by attendees.Diagnosis and treatment of sacroiliac dysfunctions will be completed in the Still Techniq ue model.
