For many of us who participate in study or employment at OHIO Zanesville and Zane State College, it’s already our “summertime”, the period between May and August when our academic obligations are reduced or paused until fall semester begins in August. The Zanesville Campus Library (ZCL) staff has high hopes that this break from the schoolyear hubbub leaves you with some free time to fill with our favorite pastime: reading for pleasure!

This year, we are collaborating with the Muskingum County Library (MCLS) to offer easy, on-campus access to the MCLS Summer Reading Program.

The Summer Reading Program begins June 6 ^th and ends on July 31 ^st . To participate:

• Use this link to pre-register between May 7 ^th and June 5 ^th ; registration for the program will continue using this same link beyond the June 6 ^th program start-date. Registrants can be members of any age who are part of the OHIO Zanesville, Zane State College, or wider Muskingum County communities.
• Download the Beanstack app to log your reading and Summer Reading Program-related activities, or if you prefer pen and paper to your computer or smartphone, come by the ZCL or visit any MCLS location to pick up a paper log.
• Earn points to enter prize drawings. Logging your reading minutes; completing fun SRP-related activities like journaling, cooking a new recipe, and geocaching around Muskingum County; and write book reviews are some of the ways to earn points.
