About this Event
As a supervisor in the Social Work or Counselor systems of care, you are in a position to help influence the culture of your organization and/or community with regard to trauma-informed practice. To do this, you will need to acquire some knowledge, tools and strategies which can guide you on your path to becoming or sustaining yourself as a trauma-informed supervisor. Becoming aware of trauma informed care, including identification, prevalence, and impact, is critical. It is important to understand the assumptions and principles of trauma informed care versus traditional care. Recognizing the implications of trauma informed care in clinical or training supervision is also essential. In this workshop you will receive that guidance that will support your organization in its journey toward trauma informed care and practice.
