To do this, you will need to acquire some knowledge, tools and strategies which can guide you on your path to becoming or sustaining yourself as a trauma-informed supervisor. Becoming aware of trauma informed care, including identification, prevalence, and impact, is critical. It is important to understand the assumptions and principles of trauma informed care versus traditional care. Recognizing the implications of trauma informed care in clinical or training supervision is also essential.
